2011-2012: Northrop-Grumman
Position: SCA Engineering Technician.
The primary task and responsibility is the repair, troubleshooting, and remanufacture of electromechanical assemblies as required by our customer in a manufacturing environment. Position requires a high level of attention to detail of which I have learned thoroughly. I have earned an outstanding reputation for quality work with a self-starter attitude, and pride myself in training and helping fellow workers whenever I can. The position was earned after a thorough pre-employment screening for working with U.S. government clients.
2009-2011: Electronics Technician Contractor.
My primary responsibilities include the repair and full restoration of antique arcade games such as juke boxes, pinball machines, and related equipment. I’ve developed a reputation for expertise in electromechanical and electronic arcade pieces and I am a sought-after resource regarding the repair and restoration practices for this type of machinery. I have advanced, board-level soldering skills as well as extensive experience in test equipment and troubleshooting.
2007-2009: CEC Inc.
Position: Facilities/Technical Manager.
My responsibilities include maintaining many of the technical aspects of a large location, from basic repair and maintenance of 220 volt air conditioners to board-level repair of video games and motherboards. Other responsibilities include the maintenance and repair of computer-controlled, pneumatically-actuated robotics, commercial AC power, air compressors, and computer/networking/telephony disciplines. I am also responsible for training of new hires, and delivering productivity in the confines of strict budget guidelines.
2005-2006: Verizon
Position: Fiber Optics Field Technician.
My responsibilities included the installation of fiber optic systems and related equipment in the home and business. These systems, once installed, carried data that would be broken out to feed internet, telephone service, and audio/video service throughout the premise. I have a very wide breadth of knowledge in the fields of data transmission, telephony, computer connectivity (both wired and wireless), building construction and customer service as a result of formal training and experience in this position. The work was very fast-paced and unsupervised. I maintained an excellent performance record throughout term of employment.
1997-2005: Cingular Wireless
Position: Cellular Field Service Technician.
I was responsible for the installation, turn-up, and maintenance of cell sites in a given geographic area. A knowledge of RF theory and the hardware used to process cellular service was required, as well as power generation systems, fire suppression systems, code compliance, real estate, proprietary computer programs and customer service. An intellectually challenging position, I enjoyed several awards and excellent performance reviews throughout term of employment.
1989-1992: U.S. Air Force
Position: Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems Technician.
My responsibilities were the component-level repair and maintenance of electrical and life-support systems in military aircraft. I have a wide breadth of experience in many aspects of aircraft component maintenance, including bleed air systems, power generation, constant-speed drives, cockpit hardware, switchgear, instrumentation, throttle quadrants, engine harness building, anti-skid systems and aircraft lighting. The tech school was reputed as the toughest on base, with deep electrical theory teachings as well as an advanced soldering class. I graduated in the top 20% of my class.
Activities: Athletics, restoration of pinball and arcade games, radio-control aviation.
