Acting as Client representative for Mechanical Systems during the Pre-commissioning and Commissioning phases of the Deepwater Sub-sea systems and the MEG regeneration system on board the Liwan Gas Platform.

Reviewing documentation and checks to ensure that all has been drafted to Husky standards, commenting and approving/rejecting as required. Witnessing Pre-commissioning and Commissioning checks on behalf of the client to ensure that all work is carried out to Husky standards in a safe and efficient manner.

Co-ordinating all the separate elements of the project, being worked by all parties, to ensure seamless Commissioning of the entire project, Attending regular high level meetings with Husky senior management, providing up to the minute planning and progress reports.

Upon completion of the Onshore phase, role change to Offshore Commissioning Co-ordinator in full charge of all Commissioning Engineers, Vendors and Technicians on the tow to complete outstanding Construction work and Commissioning of platform systems in readiness for delivery to Offshore Canada.

In full charge of the Deep Panuke Gas Platform Mechanical Engineering Commissioning department, comprising of a team of Mechanical Engineers and commissioning Technicians. Duties included: the installation of platform equipment, supervising directly the Yard Fabricators ensuring the Mechanical Completion is as per design and Standards. The preparation of system Commissioning procedures and the monitoring and Hands-on controlling of all the Mechanical Commissioning activities. Reviewing design changes, attending 3D-model reviews, P&ID final checks with the Engineering Group and attending FAT’s as required. Preparing the workscope for the start up of Commissioning in Abu Dhabi and the drafting of P&IDs sub-system marked up drawings. Responsible for the writing up of MC and PC ITR check sheets for populating into the Computer based database and the writing up of Mechanical Dynamic Test Procedures for each System. Following Construction, Mechanical completion through to onshore acceptance of mechanical/piping systems, including the compilation of punch lists by system, to ensure the commissioning of mechanical/piping systems by priority,working to strict safety regulations. Responsible for carrying out the Dynamic Commissioning of the Platform Utility and Production Mechanical systems, including Gas production, Gas Dehydration, Gas Sweetening and Compression systems. Working to ensure Company standards and budgetary limits were strictly adhered to. Supervision of multi discipline commissioning Technicians, Scoping systems and preparation of system commissioning procedures and checksheets, monitor and control all mechanical commissioning activities. Attending progress and interface meetings with shipyard, contractors and the project task force.

Joined the project team during the Detail design phase giving assistance and recommendations as required. Duties have included : Performing technical reviews of P&ID’s, general arrangement drawings, plot plans, equipment and instrument registers, electrical single line diagrams, etc. Participating in layout reviews, material handling studies and 3D model reviews. Provide input and assist in equipment criticality assessments, reliability / availability analysis, equipment spares evaluations, technology selection, operability / maintainability studies.
