Worked on aircrafts and in cabinet shop modifying & performing complex repairs to cabinets, arm ledges, doors, bulkheads, trim, tables, granite & Corian countertops, tambour doors, etc. to restore to original condition or modify per customer requirements. Remove aforementioned components & reinstall as required. Assist & train other employees in proper techniques & procedures. Performed off-site repairs. Provide time estimates as required. Developed new processes to reduce man-hours and material waste. Repair, maintain and set up cabinet shop equipment to be more efficient, safe, and operable.

Responsible for all joinery-related functions associated with boat building. Performed bench joinery work supporting the fit-out crew with various items such as crown mouldings, trim, door casings, shower grates, soles, coved base boards, etc. Built acrylic cup / bowl holders for galley cupboards. Repaired / fabricated & refabricated various items on prestigious boats such as the Maltese Falcon, Bystander (the support boat for Velsheda) and Ken Charle’s 75’ Power Catamaran Miss Solo Too of Trinidad. Built storage box to accommodate silver canisters for Atlantide, Maltese Falcon’s sister ship. As Shop Manager I was responsible for the fixing of, as well as the maintenance of, shop machinery. Also responsible for ordering replacement parts for machinery, sending out blades to be resharpened, checking the status of such ordered parts, etc. Also supported the shop in other ways such as building a cradle for the table saw, building a router table, and making various jigs for other machinery. Trained local apprentices in Woodstock’s apprenticeship program, which included a safety class in regards to the safe operation of shop equipment. On Miss Solo Too I designed and fabricated curved console panels for pilot house, including the fitting of 30 plus gages & instruments. Designed method and fabricated all curved moldings in salon & pilot house, including the making of all associated templates & patterns. Worked closely with management in terms of creative designs & ideas to enhance the character & beauty of the boat.

Was responsible for all joinery-related functions associated with boat building. This included, but was not limited to, building and / or installing: floors, partitions, ceilings, insulation, furniture, port lights, consoles, windows and window treatments, doors and jambs, interior decorator additions during the entire construction phase and any jobs as may be requested by the owners at the time of delivery. Worked on the twin mega yachts, Areti I and Areti II, as well as the 153’ 2009 World Super yacht award winner Ingot.

Constructed from blue prints new cabinets, gallies, cabin doors, bulkheads, closets, avionics close-outs, credenzas, vanities, potties, drink-rails (arm-ledges), divan arm-rests, tables, table boxes, etc. using light weight honeycomb composites and cover with veneers, laminates, hardwoods, etc. Refurbished and / or modified old cabinets, gallies, etc. by stripping off old materials & reapplying new. Job also consisted of removing aforementioned articles from aircraft & reinstalling upon completion. Worked with a wide variety of materials including, but not limited to: many exotic hardwoods & veneers, laminates, corian, jet-mirror, aluminum, polycarbonates, delrin, plastics, fiberglass & aluminum honeycomb composites, gold-plated hardware, inlays, epoxies, etc. Fit cabinetry with various hardware, plumbing, electronics, sensors, telephones, computer jacks, switches, video monitors, stereo systems, coffee makers, ovens, microwaves, DVD & video players, etc. Built jigs, fixtures & molds to accomplish peculiar objectives. Worked in very close quarters at times (in fuselage) along with many other departments (i.e. completions, upholstery, avionics, structural, etc.) to accomplish an entire refurbished aircraft interior. Also worked closely, on a daily basis, with the Design & Engineering departments (often doing much of both ourselves). Our interior shop (i.e. Completions) was rated the #1 Completions shop in the U.S. by Pro-Pilots Magazine.
