Profile

I am currently enrolled in a college for a Political Science and International Business degree. Willing to start from the bottom and work myself up, I am merely looking to get my foot into the door of a position within an atmosphere related to my educational interest. I do have a consistently bubbly personality that works great for communication and a quick, accurate mind that gets the job done.

Experience

Coach, Warriors, Newport News, VA--2007-2009

Warriors was a regional champion cheerleading team. This competitive team consisted of 3 squad-rants; the youngest contained 3-7 years of age, the mid. contained 8-13 years of age, and the senior group contained ages 14-graduate age. Upon being a member of the senior team for several years and getting to understand what it takes behind the scenes, I became Coach to both of the smaller squads. For the remaining years of the team I ran back and forth between competitions and practices for my own team and the ones I led. Leading large groups of hormonal females allowed me to practice assertion and apply/teach the importance of teamwork. Leading the very young children was at first a struggle until I discovered how to inject focus and subordination. In May 2009, the Warriors’ Company administrator retired without a successor and so the team folded, thus the end to my much missed coaching experience.

Child Care Provider, RLCC, Newport News, VA--2008-2010

I came across this company and was immediately interested. As a child care provider I worked among many classrooms separated by age; infant, toddler, 2, 3, 4, and school age. Every classroom calls for a different sort of attention and a different sort of approach. Upon saying that, I must also claim that I am versatile and quickly accommodate myself to the position and attentiveness required. The reason for the end of my time at RLCC would be the desire for a faster pace environment. The 2nd job I was holding at the time met my desires and was more time-demanding as well.

Associate, Aerie by: American Eagle Outfitters, Newport News, VA-- 2009-present

I am currently employed as a retail associate and although I love the enthusiasm of a mall environment I am ready for something serious and somewhat in correlation to my pursued degree. During my stay at Aerie (pronounced- air-ee) I have learned to sell, conduct the stockroom, distribute merchandise, and compute business information. Although I have no managerial position or training, I have had some shed of light through the kind staff above me.
