Supervised the P&W Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) and Spectra Oil Analysis Program (SOAP) as well as repaired or sustained maintenance operations on the P&W JT3D and JT8D series engines on the McDonnell Douglas DC-8 and DC-9 aircraft. Provided troubleshooting and review of test cell and on-wing engine performance data.
Accomplishments:
Recovered 19% engine maintenance cost and aircraft indirect operating costs and assured 99% on-time performance reliability as well as provided many troubleshooting recommendations.
Incorporated Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins into Engineering Orders and the Airline Maintenance Program after conducting reviews for deficiency.
