EXPERIENCE

Kelly Engineering, Project Coordinator, Southern Research Institute, May 2010-Present

-Took over a project with six team members and using Microsoft Project to produce a realistic project schedule, contacted vendors and ordered parts for a project that was on the verge of losing funding. Using my project management skills I ensured the project didn't lose funding, got loads of important test data, was able to reach its goals and bonuses for upper management.

-Using Microsoft Access built and maintains a training and certification electronic data base. Tracking over fifty employees, keeping records up to date, easily accessible, this saves limited physical space by having all records available electronically from any computer.

-Sourced alternate vendors for the purchase of safety equipment and other facility needs at significant cost savings, saving thousands of dollars per year.

-Took on responsibility of conducting facility tours and visitor safety and orientation briefings, freeing upper management to concentrate on other tasks.

-Manager for shipping and receiving department. Designed inventory control system, and eliminating the problem of lost client assets. Works with on site clients to properly and safely ship hazardous material according to the Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (Transportation)

-Writes, tracks and facilitates the approval of purchase requests for safety gear, facility parts and equipment and items associated with client needs.

-Maintains a respirator fit testing program with an outside vendor making sure all necessary employees are properly fitted with a respirator mask so that they can safely work in a hazardous breathing environment.

Sales Associate, Sept 2008-May 2010

- More information can be provided upon request.

FMC Technologies, Project Coordinator II, Subsea Systems, May 2006-August 2008

-Took charge of a project work package avoiding a drilling rig shut down, when the lead abruptly left the project. This project was at risk for delaying rig operations. I was able to keep to the schedule and avoid an operations shutdown.

-Using Microsoft project managed schedule, engineering support, and supplier relations to rework project critical parts. This required continual management of two engineers, several suppliers and regular status reporting to the client.

-Managed cost, schedule, and scope of sub-sea oilfield service equipment to be delivered to Brazil. Adjusted to a shortened schedule without compromising performance. Microsoft Project was a key tool in ensuring the shortened schedule could be met and manage the multimillion dollar project. Worked with a five member team.

-Assisted Project Manager with client relations for contract compliance and negotiated variations to the contract scope.

-Set up off site assembly facility and used Microsoft Project to seamlessly handle increased demand thus avoiding over one million dollars in liquidated damages.

-Used SAP for product data management populating spreadsheets, initiating purchase orders and managing parts and raw material procurement lead times.

US Air Force, Acquisition Officer Aircraft Maintenance Depot, Feb 2004-May 2006

-Lead 20 member team to design an innovative “just in time” tool procurement process, saving an estimated $5,000,000 by greatly reducing acquisition cost, improving production line schedule, reducing aircraft repair time and dramatically lowering material lead time. Microsoft Project was used to manage the schedule.

-Coordinated and directed the emergency repair of aircraft parts preventing production line work stoppages.

-Planed business management reviews held in Europe and U.S., where attendees resolved an aircraft parts supportability problem that threatened to stop work at two overseas maintenance facilities.

-Selected to serve as U.S. liaison to the European Participating Air Forces to develop program plans including, funding, scheduling, & configuration control concerns for over 2000 international aircraft and integrate USAF and foreign nation’s repair functions.

US Air Force, Air Force Base Engine Manager/Propulsion Technician, 1994-2001

-Assisted with reconciliation computer databases on 216 jet engines ensuring completion of all maintenance requirements.

-Managed a library of 500 maintenance manuals updating maintenance procedures, ensuring crews had accurate maintenance procedures, increasing safety for maintenance crews and reducing chances of aircraft losses.

-Documented critical engine data, eliminating maintenance loss of flight time, significantly reduced delays, and eliminating unnecessary aircraft down time.

-Assisted a contractor field team in an urgent replacement of turbine parts, modified 26 engines significantly enhancing mission readiness.

-Crew member producing three Total Accumulated Cycle time change engines, requiring complete tear-down and build-up having no anomalies detected during post maintenance testing.
