IOC of Canada Labrador City NL Position: Advisor, Tire Management

Responsibilities § Actively contribute to meeting commitments outlined in the Primary Ore Health, Safety and Environment Improvement Plan§ Assist with the development of tire associated risk assessments, hazard reporting and incident investigations.§ Assist with development of IOC tire and rim budget with input from Planning, Operations and Maintenance team. § Develop strategies for improving tire efficiencies and reducing associated cost. § Manage tire maintenance contractor to ensure service complies with IOC, RIO Tinto and Canadian Standards.§ Collaborate with other Rio Tinto business units; tire suppliers and external stakeholders to improve IOC’s tire management practices. § Actively participate in assisting the Primary Ore team to comply with Canadian Environmental Management System.§ Comply with site tire disposal standards and procedural requirements to ensure compliance as well as review opportunities to reduce tire disposal.§ Manage and improve tire management at IOC ensuring KPI’s are in place and regularly measured.§ Promote awareness of tire issues across site through interactions with maintenance and operations personnel.§ Completion of Tire Failure reports upon final inspection of tire conditions.§ Completion of work order notifications entered weekly for maintenance repairs. § Ensure that planned tire work is included in maintenance production plans.
