Rehired as a driver and promoted to a management position of dispatcher in 1994
• Sorting, routing and dispatching of all drivers on a daily basis, locally and over the road, and customer contact via telephone on a daily basis. Use of Appian Routing System, PeopleNet Fleet Tracking System and PC Miler System.
• Work closely with compliance department including, but not limited to, hours of service for drivers and breakdowns. Heavy contact with drivers regarding orders they are to deliver and troubleshooting any problems they are experiencing. Work closely with inside sales to solve customer complaints and delivery issues and rescheduling of deliveries. Secure backhauls for drivers when routes are completed. Scheduling drivers to pick up raw materials needed for our manufacturing plant.
• Daily contact with sales force regarding customer orders. Inputting of manifest into computer. Work with logistic company to schedule outside carriers.
