At REM as a DSE, I assess, support and serve individuals with mental retardation or developmental disabilities with significant behavioral, medical, and/or physical challenges. I show them how to do things, you and I do every day! I teach them daily living skills: how to bath, how to dress, how to eat, how to grocery shop, work a check book, and to show them how to pay bills. I transport the individuals to their jobs and help them with tasks they can’t quit do on their own. I assist them at doctor appointments, and take care of their medicine.

Graduate from Magnolia High School Years Attended (2002-2006)

I stayed busy most of my high school career. I was a member of the Service club for all four years, which I received many awards for most hours volunteered. I took sign language. I was a peer-tutor all four years also, in which I was able to teach and work with mentally retarted students . I was a member of: FFA (Future Farmers of America), 4-H club, Spanish Club, tennis team, and basketball team.

I attended PRT Tech (Pleasant, Tyler, and Richie) for auto mechanics.

west Virginia Northern Community College (2007-Present)

I am currently obtaining a nursing degree. My GPA after completing three semesters is currently a 3.8. I was awarded a certificate for a position on the deans list last semester.
