• Eskom Company, South Africa, Estimation Process Improvement for Capital Projects, Annual budget of 3 Trillion Rand. Contracted (phase I) to Eskom Company, Johannesburg, South Africa. Eskom (as a state owned Company) generates approximately 95% of the electricity used in South Africa and approximately 45% of the electricity used in Africa. Energy generation technologies include Coal and Gas Plants, Electrical Transmission / Distribution, Wind Technology, Hydroelectric and Nuclear Facilities. Project deliverables included, Capital Project Estimating, Gap Analysis Report, proposed new Processes, Procedures and Implementation Strategy / Timeline for the selection of estimating software (User Requirements Document), standardization of company Procurements / Contracts, Estimation Work Breakdown Structures, Chart of Accounts, integration to schedules (P-6) and administrative tracking and controls for all capital projects. JOHNSON CONTROLS GENERAL SYSTEMS L.L.C., Construction Manager (2009 – 2010)
• Energy Savings Proposal Contract, (ESPC) Implement Energy Conservation Measures, Delivery Order, SPC DE-AT06-09RL-14923, USDOE to JCGS; design and fixed-price construction. Total project cost, $22M.
• Constructed a new electric steam boiler facility, two each, 300 boiler horsepower (bhp) near 234-5Z. Environmentally improved and cost-efficient heat and process steam to the "Z-Plant Facilities." Approximately 260,000 square feet.
• Waste Encapsulation and Storage Facility (WESF), 225B Bldg. HVAC Upgrade. Replaced two 100+ ton water chillers, convert steam heat coils to electric heat coils, and install a 1,500-KVA transformer and, building structural modification, asbestos abatement and upgrade specific control components and control systems. Decommissioned the existing diesel steam boiler and facility.
• Safely completed seven facility electrical outages (I outage was 260,000 sq ft). Coordinating/scheduling LO/TO for MSA Site Electric Utilities, affected facilities, and fixed-price contractor support.

• Quinault Professional Office Center Completed five block office buildings totaling 40,000 square feet on schedule and under budget. Earned profit; $253K. Responsible for estimating, contracting, cost accounting, payroll, and construction management. Total project cost; $3.2M.
• Contracted project estimator for O’Brien Construction Company. Completing project estimates, proposals, value engineering and presentation for fixed price and design construct projects from $1M to $5M with total annual sales of $25M.
• Completed due-diligence, purchase, remodel, lease, and sale of a 6,000 square foot retail center / building. Total project cost; $680K. Sale price $1.4M.

• Misc Tank Farm transfer pit upgrades, work included, decontamination, demolition, disposal, and fabrication installation of new Jumpers.
• AZ and AY Tank Farm Ventilation Upgrades Excavation demolition and replacement Filtration (Hepa) and housings, Flammable gas monitoring, and Instrument control systems.
• 200E and W Tank Farm upgrades: removal disposal and replacement of in tank and annulus instrumentation, Liquid Level Gages and Tank Monitoring and Control Systems.
• Bldg 242-A Evaporator Building, Phase 1 Upgrades: Completed the, demolition, disposal of radioactive equipment and materials and. Successfully completed Tri-Party Agreement Milestones and Performance Agreement actions related to earned profit of $4.5M. Total annual budget; $13M.
• Vadose Zone Characterization Program. Installing 150+ ft dry well monitoring boreholes inside the single shell tank farms including excavation soil sampling, and disposal (in a Radiological Controlled Area (RCA)) to characterize the extent and depth of radiological contaminant migration into the soil column beneath the 149 single-shell waste storage tanks at the Hanford Site. Directed scientific panels, technical personnel, and contract actions for, sampling and analysis efforts. Interacted with regulators, stakeholders, and other government agencies. WESTINGHOUSE HANFORD COMPANY, Richland, WA: Project Engineer (1994 – 1996)
• W-236A, Multi-Function Waste Tank Facility: Position included project controls, constructability design reviews and construction mobilization, long-lead procurement, for construction of six one-million gallon nuclear waste storage tanks and support facilities. Successfully completed 80% design, Project Canceled. Total estimated cost; $435M.
KAISER ENGINEERS HANFORD, Richland, WA: Project Manager (1982 – 1994)
• 284E, 200E Powerhouse. Hanford’s Steam Boiler Plant Rehabilitation, Demolition and disposal the refractory (asbestos), tubing and ancillary equipment for a (three story) Erie City, boiler in the Operating Hanford’s coal fired main steam generating plant included the reinstallation of new equipment.
