Internship: Safety Intern, Cherokee Nation Entertainment, Catoosa, OK, Feb. 2012-present. As the Safety Intern a variety of responsibilities were assigned to me. I have gained experience in incident investigation, instructional systems design, classroom teaching, noise data collection and analysis, and field experience related to fixed and portable fire suppression. I have also been introduced to data analysis and report writing so to create meaningful reports and communicate performance.
Internship: Safety Intern, Golden Field Services Inc., Tulsa, OK, May 2011-August 2011
Under this title I was required to assist the safety director in administering safety policies and procedures. I assisted with safety training of new employees; and was also responsible for keeping employee drug testing, employee safety files, and the company’s ISNetworld account current.
Lifeguard: Pryor Public Pool, Pryor, OK, May 2008 - June 2011
Being a lifeguard required a variety of skills. As a lifeguard I interacted with the public on a daily basis and was required to respond to inquiries and complaints in a positive and professional manner. With my life guarding experience comes the learned ability to mediate disputes between patrons and find creative solutions to common problems. As a part of a team, being a lifeguard requires the ability to work together calmly and efficiently to manage crisis situations.
