12. Research Experience:

1. Worked as a Botanist in NGO - EBR (Edhkwehlynawd Botanical Refugee) eco restoration, under IUCN from may 2008 to may 2009. During this period I was involved in various activities related to conservation and ecological restoration of Endangered and endemic plants in Nilgiri south. And conducted ecological awareness programs in tea estates.

2. Working as Junior Research Fellow under the project NAIP: “A Value chian of industrial Agro forestry in Tamil Nadu”, in Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding at Coimbatore, India.

14. Details of research experience area: technical skills and knowledge:

1. Planting techniques:

• Establishment and post planting maintains of clonal and seedling plantation of casuarina plantation.

• Designing, establishing and assessing experimental plots of pulpier species, to select beast families / clones to improve productive.

2. Propagation techniques:

• Gained experience in Clone and seedling nursery techniques Casuarina equisetifolia, C.junghuhniana ,intra specific hybrid and Eucalyptus species.

• Successfully developed low coast of casuarina propagation techniques, like mature shoot cutting, coppice shoot cutting (juvenile shoots/ young shoots cutting) and mini cutting, and micro cuttings .

3. Selection and breeding:

• Experience in tree selection and breeding for genetic improvement for better yield and resistance. Candidate plus tree selection for establishing breeding populations though open and cross pollinated varieties or families. Clonal testing and Selection of outstanding clones for plantating in different agro climatic regions.

• Establishment of VMG for large scal clonal propagation.

4. Statistical analysis:

• Experience in field assessment,recoreding of data statistical analysis for genetic parameters by handling software.

5. Seed processing:

• Experience in seed collection, seed processing of seed cleaning, storage, image analyses, labling and seed viability test in tree species

Cross and control pollination to produce hybrids plants.

Seed germination studies in some shoal tree species.

Presented a paper entitled “Toda life style and relationship with nature” at a conference on Biodiversity & livelihoods (bees biodiversity & forest livelihood in the NBR) organized by keystone Foundation ,kotagiri, the nilgiris with the Darwin initiation (UK), bees for developments ,center of Agri-environmental research, university of east Anglia ,(DEVODG).
