JOB DUTIES:

• Operation and maintenance of various types of High & Low pressure Steam Boilers, boiler mountings & auxiliaries and Steam Turbine.

• Operation and maintenance of water heaters, heat exchangers, water softeners, boiler water treatment & chemical dosing, water treatment & purifications plants.

• Operation, Maintenance and trouble-shooting of Refrigeration Plant, Chillers Plant, Freezers, HVAC equipments and controls.

• Operation and maintenance of air-compressors, air distribution systems, air pressure regulators, air driers, air filters, Incineration Plant

• Operation and maintenance of various types of Purifiers i.e. Heavy Oil /Lub Oil/Diesel Oil Purifiers.

• Overhauling of fans & blowers, vacuum pumps, all kinds of pumps, bearing, seals, packing, gear\ boxes and workshop machines.

• Repair and maintain high pressure steam mains, steam reducing stations, steam traps, strainers, valves, piping, fittings, expansion joints, condensate lines.

• Operations and maintenance of Fire and Safety Systems including Emergency Generators, Emergency Fire Pumps, Emergency Air Compressors, Emergency Lifeboat Engines, Carbon Dioxide and Foam Discharge Systems

• Possess extensive hands-on experience for operation and maintenance of MAN B&W Internal Combustion Diesel engines & Auxiliary Diesel generators.

• Detail Knowledge of electric distribution circuits, wiring diagrams, transformers, electrical protection and monitoring equipments, battery back up system, blueprints and other technical diagrams

• Knowledge of WHMIS regulations, safe handling of hazardous material.

• Maintain and repair plant equipments using hand & power tools and machine shop related practices

• Troubleshooting and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems and controls

• Experience in writing logbooks and keeping records of necessary operation and maintenance, reports writing and inventory control,lubricate machinery and components, Measure temperature, fuel flow and pressure, Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment

• Sole in-charge of Bunkering Heavy Oil, Diesel Oil, Lubricating Oil and Chemicals.

• Sole in -charge as Watch Keeping Duty Engineer officer for safe loading and discharging of Cargo.

• Maintain records of preventive maintenance as per planned preventive maintenance schedule(PMS)

• Assist in Coordinating with inspection agencies (ABS, Lloyd's, DNV) for machinery survey / inspection on ship and approval/Port State Control Surveyors for inspection of ship safety equipment.

• Maintain Inventory of Various Marine Machinery parts i.e Boiler, Diesel Generators, Main Engine, Pumps & Chemicals. Preparing Indent requisition for Engine machinery and other machines spare parts.

• Assigning job schedules to team of 4th/5th Engineer, Engine Cadets & Engine Crew
