Hello Sir,
I'm writing to apply for the position of painting inspector. I am confident that my skills are well aligned with the
role, and that I would be an excellent fit for your organization.
My studies at the US Army School of Aviation and Logistics revolved around the implementation of mechanical
systems, allowing my skills to grow farther than just a laborer. Instead, giving me a working knowledge to
farther myself and my teammates. My knowledge of the painting industry as an apprentice and journeyman
and now a NACE, level one, coatings inspector, as well as my previously mentioned experience working with a
variety of mechanical component systems and subsystems would make me a great addition to the coating
systems workforce.
During my time in the service, I have received recognition for excellence as well as was recognized for good
conduct. I am eager to take my skills to the next level and apply them in a professional setting. Studying and
applying my skills in a combat environment has given me deep insight on techniques and a varied skill set than
includes preciseness and the important action of making deadlines without mistakes. Heavily we rely on each
other, and as everyone knows, communication is key in achieving the tasks we are given. I believe these skills
would make me a valuable asset to the industry.
I believe my experiences make me, an excellent fit for this opportunity. The most important aspect I find is the
drive to see the day’s work through safely and I will work hard to make sure it is. The goals I set are
succeeding through my own individual preparation, team efforts, and constructive feedback. I have enclosed
my resume for your consideration and please feel free to contact me via phone or email at a time of your
convenience to discuss my background as well as any requirements.
Thank You,
Joshua McDoniel
