Hydraulics/Mechanical Design Engineer 08/29/05 thru Present

• Proficient on DFMEA’s, DVR’s, Project Matrix, Project Timelines, Project Financial Layouts, Stack-up’s, Quality Issues and Manufacturing/Design reviews.

• Lead/participate in a major new product development team (Silver Bullet/New Frig Launches).

• Create models of parts and assemblies on computer systems (3D CAD and CATIA).

• Stay current in new CAD-related technologies, specifically CATIA and FEA analysis in order to prepare layouts in 3-D design concepts and design drawings to be reviewed by team leaders and quality personnel.

• Conduct design reviews of project at critical stages.

• Prepare Stack-up studies for all new designed and assembled models, to ensure that proper clearances and interferences are applied.

• Review customer specifications and work with suppliers to assure compliance with design themes. Conduct weekly meetings with vendors, manufacturing, quality assurance, service, and purchasing personnel to assure that designs are economical with a minimum of anticipated production problems.

• Initiate and implement cost reductions and quality improvements while working with suppliers on cost and quality projects.

• Remain up to date on new technologies affecting dish-cares hydraulic/mechanical systems.

• Support manufacturing processes by being a technical resource to address assembly problems and concerns.

• Construct DOE on Hydraulics System for the Silver Bullet Project.

Using the 6 ‘M’ Process

• Follow through with TAR reports and First Article Inspections for PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) on new part designs.

• Design innovative solutions; develop new product features and create more efficient technologies for dish care environment. Develop innovative solutions that make consumer's lives easier.

• Perform brainstorming sessions to come up with better innovative designs to implement in the product.

• Work directly with Engineering Labs, performing daily testing on the hydraulic/mechanical system to enhance the overall performance of the machine.

• Assist with coordination of a color team for all new plastics parts on the Silver Bullet Project.

Process Injection Molding Supervisor 02/23/04 thru 08/26/05

• Was responsible for all molding machines (5) and end of arm tooling (25 EOAT).

• Supervised 10 employees.

• Organized all documentation for molds, EOAT, mold machines and mold set-up for QS9000 and ISO9002 preparation.

• Set up molds and machines for production runs and first part approval.

• Performed maintenance on machines and production on molds. (Wrote a daily log).

• Programmed EOAT for production.

Personally designed programs for EOAT.

• Helped the Tool and Die maker with PM cleanings.

• Ran a Piovan System for all materials (Dryer and Vacuum system). Also, handled all materials for production runs.

• Tracked all production reporting.

• Consisted of comparing a Thermolator Unit verses a Pulse Cooling Unit.

• The main difference for using a Pulse Cooling Unit is that, it is cost effective.

• Project consisted of start up’s and DOE’s of the injection molding machine every time it was run.

• Attended ANTEC 2002 in San Francisco, CA.
