Assistant Director, EMT – IBM Account
Promoted in 2008 to report to the EMT executive director and the VP of operations. Took on responsibility of developing the internal training program for the agency joint venture, the Event Management Company (EMT), consisting of over 100 employees in the Austin and Boston offices. I incorporated my project management experience, process development and interpersonal skills to build an effective training program that encompasses onboarding, procedural and best practice training and professional development.
Continued responsibility for direct management and motivation of a staff of 18 project managers, production managers and service specialists as they execute over 300 events annually in the IBM IT Manager business segment. Management responsibilities include workload balancing and resource allocation, identifying and implementing efficiencies in process and team infrastructure to increase value to clients and support agency cost savings initiatives, and providing leadership and guidance to each individual on my team.

Senior Project Manager – IBM Account
Promoted in 2006 to manage a team of 12 staff members for the successful execution of over 250 proprietary events, roadshows and 3rd party trade shows annually for IBM. As a manager, I supported my team through training, ongoing guidance and fostered a solution-based environment to execute client events to the highest possible standard.
Responsibilities included accurately forecasting and reporting event spends of over $800,000.00 per quarter for client budgeting purposes. Tracked event ROI, managed space & sponsorship contracts, maintained the client event database, and consulted with clients on event marketing strategies.
