Lead Project Development Duties- Specializing in PV systems usually a Mega Watt and greater, for REITs client portfolio’s including Regional Shopping Malls, Office Parks, and Universities. Oversight and Management of all support staff engaged in System Planning, Drafting, Engineering, Effective Permit Acquisition, Equipment Procurement, RFP and Installation Contract Administration, AHJ Inspections, State and Federal Incentives, and SREC administration. Organization and Implementation of system Metering, Monitoring, O&M and Warranty Department functions for on grid, online, client PV systems.
Bergen Town Center Regional Mall, Paramus NJ: 1- MW system for Vornado Realty Trust.
Center Pointe and Florham Park Business Parks: 2- 400 kW combined output systems for Olympus Power LLC.

Plans and Engineering: Structural- Racking design, low profile single row, ground mount, parking canopy, pole mount, trackers, ready for final engineering.
Parking Canopy solar designs developed were welcomed by retail REIT clients such as Vornado, Federal, and General Growth Partners, to be effective and attractive means of increased PV system size, additionally allowing them advantages of “Green Marketing”.
Plans and Engineering: Electrical - Equipment specification of PV Modules, Inverters, Combiners and Recombiners, Disconnects, Wiring Harnesses, Distribution and Subpanels, Production Meters and Monitoring, . Line diagrams and calc’s. Incoming AIC, line or load side taps, series rated subpanels and breakers, wire and conduit calc’s, string mapping. All equipment cut-sheets. Ready for EE stamp.
Bergen Town Center Regional Mall- Developed this PV system using MIR, RPR, and SCADA/PLC custom relay functions and panels, to essentially dynamically control inverters on the regional mall spot network, so as not to feedback to the utility and damage transformer network protectors. Without this control system, which is a few years ahead of its time, the mall would not have been allowed to connect to the available PSE&G network utility grid.
Permit Acquisition- AHJ counter checks, appointment checks, expedites, walk through.
Advanced knowledge of above building dept. protocols and procedures resulted in reducing dept review time to permit issue, from several weeks to several days on average.
Quickly initiated a Back Log of Approved Permits, ready for Production
Project Management- Pre-site survey, facility and manpower requirements, logistics, scheduling and coordination. Organization and Implementation of Construction Schedules, Microsoft Project. Complete Project Status Reports. Identify Site conditions and improvements needed as extras to the project. Supervision of Project/Construction Managers, Site Foremen, & Crew Chiefs.
Training the Crew Chiefs in advanced racking and array layout resulted in the decrease of average installation time for slip sheeting, racking and ballast, wiring harnesses, and modules for a typical 500 kW solar project from 35 days to 20.
Cost analysis/Procurement- RFP and contracts, sub and vendor. Supervision of Purchase Orders, Expense Approvals, Contract Bidding, Evaluation and Award, Installation Project Schedules, and Deliveries by Vendors.
Development of Excel Material Take-Off Spreadsheets, for estimating Structural and Electrical material orders resulted in faster turnaround with vendors.
Development of Operational Checklists streamlining Construction Progress.
Utility Interconnections- Metering/Monitoring PSE&G, JCP&L, Satec and Veris Meters, Deck Monitoring- Supervision and Analysis, Troubleshooting, O&M.
