2000-2004 Nuvera Fuel Cells –Cambridge, MA
Designing engineering Prototypes, Conceptualizing and Generating new part and assembly models. 30% of my time was devoted to fixture design for manufacturing which included Redesigning of parts for easier and cheaper manufacturing. Interacted with vendors for purchased parts as well as out-sourcing parts for manufacturing. Some major designs were Self -contained Battery Box with Quick disconnects for Quick in field service and Cogen unit (water-cooling), Fuel Processor Assembly which includes High and Low Temperature assemblies and recuperator. Solidworks 2005/Solidworks PDM
American Power Conversion – Billerica, MA (3-month Contract)
New Product design and development which included Sheet metal enclosure, inner mountings for components and plastic control unit with snap in components, PC layouts and assembly procedures for manufacturing. Also redesign of various components for cost and time reduction for mass production of units and provide future Fixture designs for production. SolidWorks 2000
Active Control Experts –Boston, MA (3-month Contract)
New product testing equipment design and cost reduction for manufacturing of Actuators, Sensor vibration reducer and motion sensors, also provided designs for testing products.

Responsibilities include designing an enclosure and support system for a high powered current lead with assembly tooling and a vacuum tight cryogenic system. Other design projects include winding, potting and test fixtures for manufacturing. I also designed a support structure and all bus work for an 8 Tesla Magnet for the navy.
After getting promoted to Equipment Designer, one of my major tasks was to retool manufacturing for standardized winding and testing equipment. I also designed a wire guide system for a rolling mill including new reels to accommodate long length wires, reducing cost, weight and flatness problems. Interacted with outside vendors, .
