Currently working as a Mud logging Geologist in Onshore Project of Focus Energy Ltd. (India) Since May.2010 to till date.

Focus Energy Ltd. (India) is an independent Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company with 4 blocks in India. Focus Energy holds PSC to explore and develop on land and off-shore oil and gas properties in India known as "RJ-ON/6", “RJ-ONN-2003/2”, “GK-ON/4” and "CB-OSN-2004/1"– encompassing a total area of 21000 square km.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Close Real time drilling parameters monitoring.

• Assist on casing and coring point decision.

• Actively interface drilling staff on rig site (Drilling Spt.) to advise on

subsurface related matters.

• Support drilling team with information on formation changes and assist in bit trip decisions.

• Close monitoring of parameter and immediate intimation to assigned officer and drilling console.

• Immediately raising alarm for any deviation of parameter from normal.

• Monitor influx off well bore fluid and report to concerned personnel including mud chemist.

• Monitoring condition of bit and intimating to concerned personnel.

• Identification of type of influx and its nature.

• Sequential analysis of drilled cutting and maintaining of record in soft and hard copies (sample description).

• Daily up-gradation of reports as per above table.

• Maintain tabular tally along with its dimension during complete operation.

• Maintain the complete bit details which are presently inside well and record for previous bit.

• Maintain the bottom hole assembly details inside the well and record for previous section utilized.

• Hydrocarbon detection for the samples using mud and drilled cutting analysis.

• Monitoring of stand pipe pressure and pump condition, if pump found okay the nozzle condition needs to be analyzed in light of monitoring parameters.

• Keeping close watch on drilled cutting size and quantity in order to understand the pressurized zone or zone susceptible for caving.

• Intimating chemist in advance about the lithology and the possibility of caving also to provide the past well information about the mud weight and parameters for well condition.

• Monitor the trip in and out in order to understand the well geometry.

• To ensure the bottom drilled depth and any cutting filling while resuming the drilling ahead process or tripping process.

• Updating the lithology along with formation correlation from nearby well data, If available else on the basis of the drilled cutting sample the formation name shall be identified in the DPR.

• Close monitoring of drilled gas %age and in case of any confusion recalibration of the chromatograph in consultation with instrumentation engineer needs to be undertaken immediately. And the same shall be intimated to control room and driller to avoid any misleading data.

• Ensure all the time that there is no moisture content in the gas sample bottle installed over degasser pump and before chromatograph. In case any moisture is seen immediate replacement of the new moisture absorbent fused calcium chloride/silica gel/any other desiccant used or available at site.

• Periodic flushing of gas pipe line coming to gas analyzer shall be done.

• Shall ensure the representative sample without failure, immediately after arrival at surface to avoid any further contamination by subsequent depth.

• In case of any kick or influx shall intimate to driller and other concerned officer and intimate driller up to understand the nature and type of influx.

• Bottom up sample shall be collected analyzed and packed separately, clearly marked as bottom up sample.

• Maintenance and up-gradation off all the records as per above table without failure on daily or periodic basis as the case may be.

• To work in close co- ordination with driller, mud chemist, company representative and Control room.

• In case of any mechanical failure immediate intimation shall be done to control room. Set the the alarm on all the important parameter including sample depth.

• Ensure the proper working condition of following along with its calibration in consultation with service/instrumentation engineer.
