As an independent contractor I have performed several different tasks that vary from a Construction Manager in Wireless, to performing tower audits and construction for Contractors. In my duties as a construction manager, I contracted for companies such as Pegasus Tower, CSI Communications, CLS Group. My duties would range from permits to bids, overseeing construction to closeout. I also managed tower audits to include scheduling crews to reviewing quality of packages, as well as installation of Ericsson GSM, UMTS, 3C, Digital Microwave, and E-Band per AT&T ND-51 specifications. Included in my duties also where invoices and budgeting.

I started with Black & Veatch as a consultant for closeout documents. In addition to procuring documents, I also trained and developed associates on the closeout process. B&V offered me a CM position for the LTE project. In that position, my duties were to develop and design existing sites to accommodate the LTE network, material orders, overseeing contractor builds, safety, and turnover of documentation. From 2005-2006, I was on the Sprint project for New Site Builds. My responsibilities included design, MW, permit, materials, safety, and all phases of construction including the connecting to the LEC’s.

As a Foreman, I was in charge of the crew and the job task at hand as well as relaying the closeout documentation to the Superintendent. With SAC, I installed Ericsson BTS/radio equipment, construction of wireless facilities, batteries and equipment, service and installations of antenna systems, design layouts of equipment and Data microwave installations. Also to make sure that site was ready for T1’s installation.

At Comtract, I managed and installed the Antenna and Lines work for all wireless sites we constructed, as well as a job site foreman during the construction phase. Comtract installs for companies such as T-Mobile and Sprint / Nextel. I also performed sweep testing and document control.

As a consultant to Ericsson for the UMTS T-Mobile project, I worked as a Construction Manager for construction, BTS Cabinet deployment and installation. My responsibilities include the management of GC’s, ordering and scheduling the delivery of equipment, quality and safety inspections, and closeout documentation.

Construction Manager / Crew Supervisor
AFL Telecomm. Formerly Mericom Corp.
With Mericom, I started off as a field Installer of antenna and line installations for Wireless communication sites. Within six months I was promoted to a Crew Supervisor. I managed my team throughout construction and developed trainees. Three years later, I was promoted to a Construction Manager for a Sprint project. When the Sprint project ended, I was moved to their Nextel project in the same position. I performed various tasks as a Construction manager. AFL was a joint venture with Alcoa and Fuji corp. They together purchased Mericom Corp. in late 2002. Mericom was a major turnkey installer for Verizon (Nortel), Sprint, Nextel, and T-Mobile. We also had contracts with OCTA and Riverside County Sheriff’s dept. We installed and maintained UHF, Low-band and Microwave HOPs.
