Agarose and polyacrylamide (SDS and Native) gel electrophoresis, various blotting techniques such as Southern, Northern and Western. Extraction of Proteins from bacterial spp. and their SDS-PAGE profile. Competent cell preparation, Cloning, Transformation and expression. Mini Prep and Midi prep for plasmid isolation.

2. Bioinformatics:- Basic Windows based applications, Various Genomics and Proteomics tools, Sequence analysis, Phylogenetic analysis, familiar with different biological databases, Statistical/Graphing software like SigmaPlot and Origin, blast, fasta, primer designing, oligoanlyzer, gene annotation, gene scan and gene finding.

3. Animal cell culture:- Primary cell culture, Growth and maintenance of mammalian and insect cell lines, their transfection and selection.

4. Microbiology:- Growth and maintenance of bacterial cultures, transformation of bacteria by chemical and electroporation methods and selection, antibiotic sensitivity tests.

5. Immunology:- Study of inducible Nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) enzyme activity in peritoneal macrophages in mice, Raising the polyclonal antibodies in mice, Immunological techniques like ELISA.

6. Biochemistry:- Various chromatographic techniques like Gel filtration, Paper, TLC, Enzyme isolation from blood serum and its kinetic studies, Isoenzyme analyses, Qualitative and quantitative analyses of various macromolecules in biological samples, colorimetry & spectrophotometry.

7. Plant Biotechnology:- Regeneration of plant tissues on synthetic media, Protoplast isolation and fusion, transformation of plant cells and protoplasts and selection of transformants, Production of synthetic seed. Protein, Proline estimation, Chlorophyll estimation, NR activity and RAPD analysis of regenerants.

8. Plant physiology:- Nitrite, Nitrate and Nitrate reductase (NR) activity measurements in plants.

9. Computer knowledge:- MS office, MS word, MS Excel, advanced Excel, web designing etc.
