• The project involved analysis of Rollover crash scenario of a Ford F250 truck using LS-DYNA for finite element analysis using SAEJ996/FMVSS 216.
Key Points
• Reduced the computational time significantly (Total CPU time by approximately 400 hrs) by defining Initial velocity.
• Optimized the Time step size by fine tuning the geometrical constraints affecting the computation time.
• Proposed enhancements resulting in reduction of roof deflection by 53.4mm.
• Define & position 50% Hybrid III dummy & seat in the vehicle environment for Frontal Impact analysis.
• Modelled stiffener using Solid Works (IGES) and import it to LS Dyna for further analysis.
