CURRENT ROLE
Network Engineer - CenturyLink - Monroe, LA October 2011–Present
Site Lead on the ONA-CAPA team, provisioning critical network upgrades for capacity augmentation and management. Coordinate with planning, engineering, and field techs to ensure a seamless network conversion.
A2E Migrations: Upgrade a regional site from an ATM based network topology to an Ethernet network. Steps include testing various circuits, analysis of potential capacity and outage risks, and developing a Method of Procedure for night team implementation.
E2E Migrations: Enhance an existing Ethernet based network by flattening out the topology by means of rehoming DSLAM devices and upgrading circuits, therefore reducing capacity issues and improving overall performance.
Ethernet Pipe Project: Preparing procedures for VLANS to be rerouted from its existing path via Alcatel-Lucent 7750’s to a VPLS core network via Juniper.
Assist other Site Leads with any provisioning and platform questions.
