Senior QA Tester

Project Description:

Testing team of this project is responsible for all the testing activities for two projects: PowerMHS and PSTEPP. Power MHS by DST Health Solutions division is one of the most popular products in U.S.A with a large customer base. Currently there are 16 open releases for the product. As there are more than 40 clients for Power MHS, maintaining the code for the product becomes a major task. Power MHS is a fully integrated online, real time, healthcare system that runs on IBM AS/400 and is coupled with a relational database. PowerMHS features include external tables, online documentation, pop-up help windows, on-line edits and line of business specific screens. PowerMHS offers the following modules: Membership, Providers, Claims, Financials, and Security.

PowerSTEPP product suite includes PowerSTEPP, InfoSTEPP, PowerQueue, CareSTEPP and ePower. For 3 applications end to end support is provided to client and for other 2 applications, team is engaged from requirement management to system testing. PowerSTEPP features include external tables, online documentation, pop-up help windows, on-line edits and line of business specific screens. PowerSTEPP offers the following modules: Providers, Claims, Financials, and Security. The scope of this project includes testing for maintenance and enhancement of various sub systems of the PowerSTEPP for all the releases, along with the production support.

The client for this project, Bancolombia, is a leading bank of Southern America. It is Web based as well as client/server application including Home Banking and Customer Service. Home Banking application is where retail customers use this web based application and make their transactions online. All transactions will be logged in Log database for Decision support systems. Customer service is an internal host based application, supports lot of other ancillary applications in the bank as data provider. A host based login is made on transaction and customer support data management is made online. An internal security check is made for all users login. Also worked on a Client/Server application that matches the signatures and stores

check images.

Project Description:

The Client for this project was GE Money; I worked as a developer for Loan Origination system. This project provides the maintenance for the modules FIBOS and OPALE. The FIBOS is the primary Application which is menu driven and includes all sub applications like offer creation, loan, lease. OPALE is a sub application, which deals with acquisition of proposals, offers and incoming contracts to the business. LOS provides the end to end automation of loan application processing from lead generation to closing and disbursal readiness. Organized into logical functional modules reflecting the credit origination process, it brings together front office sales personnel, back office credit processing officers, verification vendors and closing/operations users together in a seamlessly integrated and automated environment. It provides Business rules driven loan processing to ensure consistent and effective loans processing with gateways for exception handling, where required.

Environment: IBM AS400/ iseries

MAJOR ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

• Developed and maintained application software on AS/400 and iSeries hardware

using RPG III, RPGIV, ILE RPG utilizing modules and service programs and ILE

RPG with embedded SQL. This included the designing, coding and

implementation of new software as well as enhancing and maintaining existing

one.
