Key Project: Effect of Washing Treatment and Sonication on Pesticides in Fruits
--Provide product formulation support by accurately preparing laboratory fruits’ seriflux, concentrate and extracting 6 samples using Agilent’s AOAC SampliQ QuEChERS method.
--Optimized sonication process through handling temperature, ultrasonic frequency, washing reagents and time; detected by GC/HPLC and analyzed data.
--Evaluate the effect of pesticide removal using commercial scale produce washing operation at the National Center of Food Safety and Technology (NCFST) pilot plant, monitored the GMP program, and CCP’s for HACCP on the production floor; review QC stability data.
Associate Project: Optimization and Verification of Method to Detect and Quantify OTA in Food
--Extracted 4 baby foods using QuEChERS method, tested and analyzed food candidates through Agilent HPLC and LC/MS to confirm the presence of OTA in samples.
--Performs titrations, PH, moisture analysis, rapid detection and quantitation of OTA utilizing by immunochemical test kits (ELISA)
