CAREER HISTORY

Anaren Microwave, East Syracuse, NY 01/2011 – 12/2011

RF/Microwave Design Engineer for this manufacturer and supplier of microwave components and subassemblies in to the wireless and defense electronics market.

Responsible for innovative design, simulation, data analysis, suggestions to production process and high

yield of radio frequency microwave components.

? Achieved yield improvements of microwave components product line by modifying designs and

running simulations based on historical data analysis.

? Maintained proper documentation of device study such as data analysis, built circuitry of the device, design tolerance analysis, etching of circuitry etc. Results: provided clear and concise

understanding of design/manufacturing issues that were solved achieving better yields.

? Delivered time sensitive design drawings to fulfill customer demands and requirements.

? Designed a Passive Intermodulation (PIM) setup to measure PIM levels of microwave components

based on customer specifications.

? Organized technical webinar attendance by co-workers for brainstorming innovative ideas.

University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, Buffalo, NY

2008 - 2010

Graduate Research Assistant for Multidisciplinary Nano and Microsystems Lab under the guidance of Professor Yong Kyu Yoon for design and micro-fabrication of microwave components.

Researched new designs and techniques for planar microwave components such as antenna designs,

couplers, metamaterials, waveguides, filters etc. based on microwave theory.

? Gained knowledge and developed new multi layered micro-fabrication techniques and recipes.

? Assisted fellow researchers in novel works; results: 3 letters in peer reviewed IEEE publications.

? Investigated new designs and procedures for energy harvesting microwaves using a rectenna.

ACADEMIC PROJECTS

Selectable Amplifier System (Analog Circuits)

? Designed the layout of a single chip CMOS amplifier with digitally selectable gain using the concept

of gates to select specific amplifications of 0dB, 10dB, 20dB, 100dB.

Solar Cell (Micro-fabrication)

? Designed and Fabricated three MIS photovoltaic diodes and a thin film resistors. Performed

diagnostics such as C-V, I-V, Photovoltaic efficiency and Spectral Response for test data.

Frequency Scrambler (Communication Design)

? Designed a frequency scrambler working at GSM band in a localized environment.

Directional Couplers (Radio Frequency and Microwaves)

? Designed a planar coupled line directional coupler using Microwave Office and fabricated the

device using a PCB machine. The coupler was tested on a HP8510C Network Analyzer.
