Driver/Dispatcher/Operations Coordinator

Responsible for dispatch and routing of equipment to deliver both raw and manufactured construction materials for $16M business. Responsible for driver adherence to TXDOT regulations, including weight thresholds and equipment maintenance. Maintained functional inventory levels for all types of material including rock, sand, and angle iron. Coordinated driver/mechanical/loading operational functions including training. Specific duties and accomplishments include:

 Scheduling and management of field and yard personnel according to pending jobs and staffing levels.

 Large equipment operation including tractor-trailer and various front-end loaders, including all rubber tire and track types

 Freedom to control dispatch orders using company dispatch system and schedule changes as customer service and other factors change.

 Provide customer service for call-in orders and customer discrepancies

 Training of drivers for best practices to ensure safety guidelines are being followed, including investigation of accidents, handling of DOT issues, injuries, or property damage

 Provide administrative support to office staff

 Equipment inspection and maintenance scheduling
