Trained Branch levels of the entire Western Region Distribution Sales Force which includes all of the above distributors as well as Heilind, Newark, DigiKey and Future. Coordinated sales of the 6 Sales Reps offices in the Region with their local Distributor branches. Conducted branch promo’s and overall, successfully increased Western Region Business by 12%.

Covered Commscope on a national basis and worked to develop new connectors specifically for their cable lines. Worked on video box upgrade for the General Atomics Predator UAV’s. Designed in a special triax connector assembly that was projected to be a million dollar sale since it was to be retrofitted on existing Predators and all future Predators. Other customers were ITT Cannon – DRS kit, PanAmSat - Sea Launch panels, and Boeing – C130AMP test lab and glass panel displays also C17 Pallet Cargo System panel.

Initially sold to franchised distributors in Southern CA. Was promoted to OEM Sales and then was promoted to Western Regional Manager. Amphenol completely restructured its sales force and as WRM I began by hiring the 7 rep companies to cover my region. The divisions I managed produced such products as coax connectors, fiber optic connectors, cable assemblies – both flat ribbon and overmold, a variety of pc board connectors and filtered connectors. One of the largest “wins” the reps and I had was landing “half the world-wide business” ($3M) of D-Sub connectors for Hewlett Packard. This was a multi-location deal and I coordinated all the efforts of the various Sales Reps from their respective companies as well as the different Hewlett Packard locations/contacts throughout the sampling, pricing and contract signing. Reps I hired and managed were consistently awarded Rep-of-the-Year for a number of years in a row.

Supported 4 outside sales people and a Territory Sales Manager. Was promoted as the very first female outside sales engineer for the company. Covered the Los Angeles area and sold multi-pin, circular, mil-spec connectors, Dip-Sockets, edge card connectors, etc. to customers such as Lear Siegler, TRW, Boeing and Mattel Toys. Designed in a special edge card connector in the Mattel Intellivision which was my first $1M booking. Burndy named the connector after me – PCLB (Printed Circuit Lyn Bresnen.)

COMMUNICATION:

• Talented at speaking one-on-one as well as to groups as large as 200+. Thoroughly enjoy interactively involving the small to medium size audiences in the learning process regarding product and/or capabilities of an organization.

• Have reputation for building rapport and getting a group to have fun while message is being conveyed. Regularly am asked to do presentations for several organizations both professional and charitable.

PROMOTIONAL SKILLS:

• Always one of the top Field Sales people at Amphenol, Trompeter and Burndy. During my time at Trompeter I was awarded #1 RF Connectors Sales Person and #1 RF Cable Assembly Sales Person. At Burndy I annually won awards for being one of their top sales people which allowed me to travel in their Pacesetter’s Club to various foreign countries.

• Coordinated a very successful Western Regional meeting for 40 people with a limited budget. Participants evaluated it as one of the best they had ever attended.

• Throughout my management years I have always made sure that the sales have been a “team” process and effort. My leadership and support have consistently helped the rep sales forces in my region achieve top recognition awards from corporate and have enabled them to be very successful selling the product lines I managed.

• I have continuously created and managed “quota busting” Distribution Promotions that have significantly increased sales at various Distributors. A Newark “Red, White and Blue” promo realized a gain in sales of 60% for So. CA in 2008. A “Luck o’ the Irish” promo realized a gain in sales for TTI in No. CA of 30% in 2011.

EDUCATION

California State University, Fullerton Completed all but 3 credits toward BA in English Took Marketing, Mechanical Engineering and Management courses as well as required classes for English degree. Have taken courses on Fiber Optics, Broadband Design, Designing Data Infrastructure, etc. ’09-’10 took on-line courses in green business and sustainability practices

’12 taking Excel Courses on-line.
