OBJECTIVE: I want to be honest. I am an older women who has to use a cane to walk. I do have a hard time standing and walking for long period of times but I am not one to not do a job in a timely manner. If given the chance I am a hard worker and reliable employee.

QUALIFICATIONS

I believe I am a strong candidate for the file clerk job I am seeking. I have worked for the last nine years as a file clerk for a security company in the Houston area. I am able to type, file, make copies, and use a fax machine. I am a fast learner. I also know Word and Excel and can do Data Entry work. I can also pull and retrieve records in a timely manner.

The job I was working was a file clerk job. My duties were to file, make copies, send out faxes, some Data Entry and typing. I had to clean out the file cabinet each month and box up the files for each month. I can lift boxes up to 25 lb’s.

1997-2000 La Porte School District

I worked in the school system as a substitute teachers aide and in the office of schools as a substitute clerical aide.

1987-1997 First United Methodist Church (Mothers Day Out Program)

This job was a job working with children from the ages of three and four. We tried to teach the children to obey rules, learn their colors, learn how to use scissors and glue. I enjoyed working with children when my children were small.

In the past 30 years I have been a wife , mom, cub scout leader and cub scout committee member. I belonged to the PTO at my sons school and volunteered at my sons schools. I have held many jobs and was never let go of any of the jobs. I may not have a lot of book smarts but do have sense smarts. Thank you for your time.
