Chose to team up with Duralast Roofing inc. as a registered installer for their roofing and coating products. Duralast is one of the hardest installations to register for. Impossible unless they are impressed by your work history.

Position: Head Estimator Designed and implemented new software, hardware, and procedure to calculate cost, materials, time lines and schedules. I worked with Drafting program like Chief Architect and Auto Cad to estimate many of the calculations and drawing for customers and suppliers. Did many estimation programs in Excel and Access to customize to specific needs.

Since it has been in 12 locations, and I treat as one company, I am listing only the different locations: Portland Or, Seattle Wa, Minneapolis Mn, Chicago Il, Omaha Ne, Denver Co, West Palm Beach Fl. And Atlanta, GA. (There are other locations, but I have listed only the ones that I worked at). During this time I spent mostly as the General Managers position, or as Head Estimator. But there was a time that I did research and Training in between all the branches, as well as the Project supervisor. During the time as manager I also acted as the Head Estimator, and chief administrator of all the networks. Here I was able to upgrade the systems, implement new procedures, learn and teach new software, and learn the most efficient ways to run a company. Used many estimating program developed by an in house team, as well as inventory, and scheduling programs. Used new software by third parties, including Applicad, and Buildware.

Before 1991 I worked for a few different Construction and Roofing companies. During that time I learned the correct installation and processes for both Construction and Roofing trades. I held certificates for the installation of GAF Flat and Pitched roofing, Firestone, and was registered installer of CertainTeed products.

Programs worked with: Xactimate Software as well as Microsoft's Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, and Outlook. Work well with Redhat's Linux. Knowledge with Drawing and Estimating programs such as Sketch from Xactimate, Auto Cad, Draw Plus, Chief Architect, Applicad, Buildware, and several vendor software’s from suppliers, assisted with accounting software like Peachtree, and others.

Because of the training and certificates I have held, it gave me a better understanding of the complete construction and roofing process, so I am able to effectively run them smoothly and effectively. I have built houses from the ground up, and have roofed large projects such as Wallmarts, Walgreens, Targets, and many Apartments complexes, and dozens of government buildings. Each project has held its obstacles and challenges, but the experience of each adds to the solutions that I apply today.
