CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
Implemented a cube optimization process to cube out the trailers at 100% and expedited the overflow if necessary in order to save transportation dollars. The prior designing route had trailers at 75% to allow for any additional overflow, so they were typically under utilized.
Impact: Net savings of more $5M annually and the process became the industry standard.
Launched two crossdock operations servicing General Motors. Worked in partnership with suppliers to effectively reduce operating costs by and ensuring compliance with General Motors packaging, labeling and overall shipping requirements.
Impact: Significantly reduced the transportation costs to the company’s largest client, General Motors.
Analyzed the transportation network at the facility, identified several inefficiencies, and implemented logistics solutions to address regarding outbound and inbound side operations.
Impact: Transportation savings of more than $250K annually.
Hand-selected to develop safety standards and to educate employees on the importance of job safety. Developed standards for PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). Created an employee committee to identify and address day-to-day safety issues.
