To Whom It May Concern:

My lastest employer, Drive Automotive-Magna, (Tier 1 Sheet Metal Supplier to Mercedes Benz) in Greenville, South Carolina, downsized the number of supplier representatives working at the Mercedes Plant in Vance, AL in December 2008. I am currently seeking a position in this area.

From my attached resume, you can see that I have 14 years experience in automotive sheet metal repair and welding. While at Mercedes Benz - Brazil and Mercedes Benz - US, I was a trainer in sheet metal repair and Mig/Tig welding. I have trained team members in Mercedes US, Brazil, Germany and also trained employees at Ogihara (stamping plant for Mercedes US). I have experience using metal shaping tools, grinders, files and sanders. I am certified in soldering, Mig/Tig welding and repair on A-Class parts. I have a high understanding of what it means to build quality in at the process. I chose to leave Mercedes Benz to move to America permanently to start a new life with my new American wife. I began working for Magna, a tier one supplier to Mercedes Benz, where I was a supplier representative at the Mercedes Benz facility in Vance, Alabama. I was responsible for providing service to Mercedes when there was a problem with the parts and would give feedback to Magna in South Carolina. I was also responsible for reworking parts when necessary. While at JPX Automotive – Brazil, I was also certified in fiberglass repair. I have a very diverse background, I have spent time in Germany training on sheet metal repair. My native language is Portuguese, I can speak Spanish and currently training in English.

I believe my strong automotive background can serve your company well. At Mercedes Benz, safety, quality, cost and manufacturability were always the foremost concerns in our decision making process. I fully understand what it means to build a quality product. If given the opportunity, I would be grateful to begin work in your workplace.

You will see a gap in my employment since December 2008. From January 2009 to March 2009 I was out of work due to medical reasons. In April I went to visit relatives in Pennsylvania and was able to get a job at Na Brasa Steak House in Philadelphia. This work was a temporary position and that job has now ended and I am currently back in Alabama.

Enclosed are copies of my resume and references. You can reach me at home 205-***-**** on weekdays. Or you may email me at ch97xj@r.postjobfree.com I look forward - 205-***-****
