A SERVICE LINE SPECIALIZING IN IDENTIFYING, MEASURING, AND MANAGING CONTROL RISKS FOR ALL INDUSTRIES

Manager

Simultaneously managed multiple engagements varying in team size of 2 to 10. Helped clients convert data into business intelligence. Built and facilitated relationships between senior leadership and staff both internal and external. Often assigned relationships that were in need of repair or were sensitive. Responsibilities included:

• Developing data analysis metrics to assist clients in understanding the trends and anomalies of their business by understanding the key performance indicators

• Researching and benchmarking key statistics to aid clients in the comprehension of their data profiles

• Creating executive summaries and reports to present to senior management and partnerships

• Designing databases/program code to gather information and develop standard reports

Engagements included:

 Developed several key exception reports using Crystal Reports for a Sarbanes Oxley Report. Project consisted of building a reporting tool on the security access of all major systems. Gathered initial business requirements from both the system and for the reports. Reports were parameter driven sub-reports.

 Assisting an internal audit client in the decision making process to re-engineer their inventory stocking process versus adding additional headcount. Accomplished by analyzing and reviewing several types of inventory and receipt files for movement versus quantity and timing

 Providing client with spend analysis recommendations based on accounts payable vendor and disbursement information

 Using SAS and ACL, analyzed complete journal entry populations for fraudulent characteristics (i.e. transactions to unrelated accounts, transactions with missing descriptions, etc.) based on SAS 99 guidelines for various industries for both internal and external audit clients. Procedures included using statistical concepts such as calculating standard deviations and population proportion to size sampling

 Validated the Performance Evaluation Model on sub prime accounts for a large west coast bank

 Building foundational course materials for a four-day campus hire class as well as facilitating the training for this course for Deloitte’s National Learning team

 Determining the feasibility of implementing an estimation-sampling program for a distribution center by review of the physical and systematical flow of merchandise within a large pharmaceutical warehouse
