Attention: Human Resources

I am pleased to apply for the position of Millwright that I have read about online for your company. I have completed all schooling and graduated with honours from Cambrian College in Sudbury Ontario. I am currently working on achieving the rest of my hours for my millwright apprentice, as of right now I currently have over 2300 hours and I am able to claim the rest of my hours from my past job at Nakina Forest Products which will in turn allow me to write my final exam for my red seal ticket. At the present time I am a millwright apprentice working at Terrace Bay Pulp. I realize that you may be looking for a fully licenced millwright but if you feel I meet your standards then I would be more than happy to join your team. I am very trainable and a quick learner. I work well on my own and great with others. I feel I would be a great asset to your company and I am more than willing to gain long term employment with your company.

At my current place of employment I have gained a great interest and new experience working in the millwright trade. In all my jobs that I have had the opportunity to work in, I have gained knowledge working on and with presses, robotics, complete pump rebuilds, installations and countless rigging and hoisting. I have also been in the maintenance department at Nakina Forest Products for ten years and have gained a great experience working on and with machinery from everything from hydraulic/pneumatic systems, conveyors, pumps, machine installation, levelling and alignment and changing bearings. I have also gained a good experience on lathes and milling machines. I am very trainable and have good troubleshooting and organizing skills.

I have completed all my schooling for Industrial Mechanic Millwright Technician at Cambrian College in Sudbury, Ontario. There I have graduated with honours and learnt many new skills and further expanded my knowledge in areas such as PLC programming, AutoCad, reading and interpreting blueprints, pumps and welding skills in arc welding (SMAW), mig welding (GMAW), oxy-acetylene and fabrication.

Again, I would like to express my interest in your company and look forward to hearing from you to set up an interview to further discuss my skills, experience or any further information you wish to know. Attached is a copy of my resume and I thank you for taking the time to read my resume. I can be contacted at 1-807-***-**** or on my cell at 1-807-***-****. I can also be reached via e-mail at cde0s2@r.postjobfree.com.

Thank you,

Jean-Paul (J.P.) Papineau
