Since 2009, continues to serve as Interim Director of Advancement for 2 private schools. Since 2010 serves as founding Executive Director of a non profit support organization.
1996-2003 Senior Pastor, Willo-Hill Baptist Church, Willoughby, Ohio
Implemented and directed successful envisioning and leadership of a congregation of over 500. Chairman of the Church Board and School Board. Church budget increased by 50% and income [giving] increased from ~$500k to well over $1 million annually. Launched many new initiatives including Seminary Intern Training, $4.3 million debt free Building Program including 2 capital campaigns, Establishment of new 7-12 Private High School, Undergraduate Extension Studies, Leadership Selection and Development, Staff Evaluation Process, and multi-step Budget process. Led an Executive team of 5, and total staff of dozens of employees and over one hundred volunteers.
1992-1996 Associate Pastor, Grace Baptist Church, Westerville, Ohio
Resident pastor of a growing church of 450 where senior pastor was part-time, non-resident. Responsibilities included administration and management of daily ministry, assimilation, education, and counseling. Chairman of local pastors organization. Received certification in Masterplanning [Bob Biehl], and Evangelism Explosion Clinic Administration.
1985-1992 Pastor of Young Adults, Church of the Open Door, Elyria, Ohio
Associate pastor on a pastoral staff of 13 where responsibilities included counseling, singles programming, divorce recovery, athletic leagues for the 2000+ member church. Also included 4 years of middle and high school teaching and coaching at Open Door Christian School [a private K-12 school of ~700 students]. Leadership role in $3 million capital campaign.

Taught college level Mathematics. Taught Computer Science in the ‘College for Kids’ program.
EDUCATION
1980-1981 United States Military Academy - West Point, New York. Attended first year as a Cadet after congressional nomination and appointment to the Academy. Competed in Intercollegiate Tennis and Squash.
1981-1985 Cedarville University - Cedarville, Ohio. B.A. Psychology (3.3 GPA); Minor in Bible. Resident Assistant, 4-year letterman and 2 year captain of NAIA nationally ranked Tennis team, earning NAIA Academic All-American, and ITCA scholar athlete honors.
1987-1990 Liberty University - Lynchburg, Virginia. M.A. Counseling (3.8 GPA) - two year program including an extensive internship. Sample coursework includes Crisis Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling, Development, Personality, Assessment.
