PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

20+ years experience as an Estimator/Project Manager at all levels of responsibility. Experienced in residential remodeling, banking facilities, medical and hospital facilities, big box, hotels, educational facilities and government projects. Construction techniques include drilled and belled pier foundations, poured-in-place structures, tilt-wall structures, metal buildings, structural steel and masonry to mid-rise construction. Excellent communication skills possessing the ability to interface successfully with owners, architects and contractors. Competent in blue print reading and takeoff’s in all 16 divisions. Proficient in estimating and project management software, including Timberline, MS-Excel, Word, Outlook, Project, and QuickBooks. September, 9/2008 to 11/2011: Professional Constructors, Inc., 5907 Breckenridge Parkway, Tampa, FL, Senior Project Manager/Estimator. Company self performs general construction, plumbing, mechanical and electrical work. PM/E on national electrical metering project for the Veterans Administration. Completed conceptual estimating and drawings for a $950,000.00 pharmaceutical addition in Ft. Lauderdale, FL area. Managed all permitting procedures in Florida.

April, 2006 – April, 2008: LTL Construction Company, Inc, 2601 E. 4th Ave., Tampa, FL 33605. Senior Project Manager/Estimator. Overseeing construction and development of Emerald Green luxury hotel/condominium complex at golf community in Carrolwood, FL., a $9,000,000.00 project. Chief Estimator for all commercial projects. Managed up to 3 superintendents on various projects. Other projects included two story metal building, a refreshment grille at the golf complex, and several interior remodels/up fits throughout the Tampa Bay area.

2004 – 2006: NewGround Resources, Inc., 15450 So. Outer Forty Drive, Ste # 300, Chesterfield, MO 63017. Project Manager. Responsible for new construction of a $5,000,000.00 Pilot Bank on Linebaugh Ave, Westchase, Tampa, FL 33628. Set up subcontractors for bids, drafted subcontracts, and functioned as on-site Project Manager from groundbreaking through completion. Obtained permits through certificate of occupancy. Estimated, contracted, and managed expansion of Linebaugh Avenue for turn/decel lane at end of project. Construction techniques consisted of steel structure, structural studs, EIFS and stonework. Many areas included class-5 drywall finish. Performance “exceeded expectations”, per Senior Vice-President. Project is one of those highlighted on the website www.newground.com.

1997 – 2004: Cornerstone Contracting, Inc., and Cornerstone & Captiva Leasing, Inc., Lake Wylie, SC. President of both corporations. Major projects: Developed seven acre site for 8 commercial buildings, built two 2 story office buildings, built doctor’s office with x-ray and minor procedures rooms-each project at $800,000.00, with initial site work package at $700,000.00. Built two story, two acre pre-fabricated town home project with site work and construction cost at $780,000.00. Remodeled office space for oncology procedures lab at $200,000.00. Remodeled and up-fitted several office complexes averaging $80,000.00. Remodeled several residential and condominium projects. Performed all estimating, negotiating, buyout, and supervision of all operations. Construction techniques consisted of structural steel, masonry and EIFS combination, pre-fabricated structures, metal stud and wood framed structures. Remained associated with Timberline Builders as a subcontractor for sitework, as they transitioned to sitework only.

1995-1997: Timmerman Builders, Inc., Charlotte, NC. Vice-President. Responsible for estimating, construction management of subs, assignment and management of superintendents for multiple projects. Projects included Carolinas Medical Center Hospital renovations, hospital fire safety upgrades, Charlotte International Airport remodeling, dialysis additions, medical offices remodeling, insurance restoration projects, with costs ranging from $150,000.00 to $1,200,000.00. Construction methods included structural steel, metal buildings, masonry buildings, medical gas installation, and airport runway work.
