SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Achieved Short Notice Business. Seized opportunity to bid on a $3.4M tower renovation project. Analyzed existing specifications. Aligned services and revisited bid proposal. Incorporated extensive experience and knowledge from past projects into the estimating process. Awarded project with only in budget proposal.
Developed Profitable Supplier Partnerships. Identified opportunity with supplier to compete against seven bidders on a 440 security window project. Handled strict bonding requirements, won $1.8M bid by $60 which in turn led to generating $700K+ annual revenue. Boosted operating revenues 25% with 8% margins.
Protected Company Profitability. Supplier provided products with incorrect specifications, risking construction delays and a potential $1,000 daily fine. Directed redesign of products with minimal labor expense, enabling project completion on-time and saving $20K to $30K in potential penalties. Won design award on the project.
Implemented Cost Controls, Saved Thousands. Reassigned to key client, AT&T, for build out of 77 cell tower sites and immediately determined areas of improvement. Reviewed existing invoices, uncovering services in question. Negotiated new terms with subcontractors, saving $60 thousand.
Succeeded in Meeting Critical Project Timelines. Conducted recruitment of contractors for a collaborative project bid with a complete budget and detailed completion schedules. $1.6M multiple site project was awarded based on modified criteria. Managed projects successfully and saved client an estimated $210K with accelerated completion schedule.
CAREER HISTORY
Senior Estimator, 2K General Construction (an $8M commercial construction company), 2002 to 2009. Drove estimating efficiencies, headed project managers, implemented new software and data base. Tracked progress of all projects within Estimating/Project Management Office (PMO), managing three employees.
Projects Director, Divine Incorporated (a subsidiary of Divine Tower International), 2000 to 2002. Recruited and promoted from subsidiary to lead PMO. Completed four major projects including multiple retail store build-outs, reinforced concrete project, 45,000 sq. foot arena and wireless switch stations. Led $25M division with twelve staff.
Senior Project Manager, Divine Tower International (a $200M privately-held infrastructure provider to wireless carriers) 1999 to 2000. Led, directed, and managed survey, architectural and engineering teams for $50M turn-key build out project for seventy-seven AT&T Wireless Sites.
Senior Project Manager, Divine Incorporated, 1997 to 1999. Directed sales, project managers, estimators and support staff. Oversaw contract negotiations, bidding, subcontractors, suppliers and P&L for $8M division with eight staff.
