• Substituted in every all elementary grades and physical education, Art, Math, English as a Second Language, and the Media Center.
• Implemented the teacher’s lessons plans, maintained discipline administered and graded tests and reported to the classroom teacher.

• Investigated civil rights complaints on the basis of race, sex, disability, or national origin lodged against educational institutions in several Southeastern states.
• Interpreted and applied civil rights laws to the specific allegations, planned investigations, conducted interviews of recipients and complainants, reviewed pertinent documentation, and wrote investigative reports and letters of findings.
• Made presentations to schools and community groups regarding the laws enforced by OCR. Had extensive interaction with people from all walks of life.
• Translated letters and other documents for the Office, and interviewed Spanish speaking complainants.

SKILLS and INTERESTS
• Fluent (native) speaker, reader, and writer of Spanish.
• Proficient on Microsoft Word; limited proficiency in Excel and Access. Very comfortable with computers.
• During the past 5 years, I have volunteered extensively at the Georgia Aquarium, Gwinnett Village Financial Center, Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Aurora Theatre, and the 14th Street Playhouse.
