This position allowed engaging in preparation of intravenous medications; packaging extemporaneous medications needed for the drug distribution system within the hospital; handling dispersion of controlled substances within the hospital; observing Physician -Pharm.D rounds in the Intensive Care Unit; familiarizing with the TPA Nutrition system in the hospital; performing basic hospital-technician duties such as filling pharmacist-processed physician orders, and distributing medications to the nursing units.

07/97--08/98: Rite Aid Pharmacy.

Attained pharmacy internship hours in a retail pharmacy setting.

This position provided an excellent possibility to grasp the principles of the retail pharmacy in terms of patient counseling.
