Director of Marketing –

Overseeing the Marketing department for Westcott Homes, the role involves developing and implementing strategies to create a strong brand, to increase the traffic to a Westcott community and achieve business results. Integral to the role is budget planning, team management, SEO, creating the business plan and calendar and overseeing the successful implementation of these. As part of this currently spearheading a unique marketing activity to create a USP in the marketplace. Key Contributions:

 Launched successful SEO programs to increase the website traffic by 60%.

 Increased traffic to a website community by 100%

 Played an intergral role in Westcott’s growth from 50th rank to 15th in less than 1 year.

 Revived the brand and repositioned it to match the needs of the target segment. This involved creating a new Corporate signage program, Corporate advertisements etc.

Marketing Manager –

Integrally contribute to the Microsoft Dynamics team, which strategizes on methods to develop business among mid-market customers in the US, and responsible for the team’s pipeline generation through Online Engines and Webcasts. The role also involves developing the Marketing Calendar and Forecast for Microsoft Dynamics. Performing this role on temporary assignment through CoreStaff. Key Contributions:

 Developed the Customer Success Series, a customer reference program in which key customers speak on their Microsoft experience before large groups of potential customers nationally who are engaged in different phases of the purchase cycle. The essential elements of this project involve tracking the recruitments, interacting with the customer, developing the content alongwith the customer, driving the registrations and promoting the event using different vehicles.

 Secured contracts with leading Online Engines who agree to showcase Microsoft Dynamics products in exchange for compensation for sales leads associated with those products. Constantly monitoring the performance of these Online Engines to ensure it meets the pipeline objectives.

SYMRISE PRIVATE, LTD., Chennai, India 2001 to 2005

Product Manager –

Oversaw the $3.6 million Home Care division of this Indian subsidiary of a leading German fragrance manufacturer, held P&L responsibility and was responsible for growing the category.

Directed projects for all clients in India and Sri Lanka, and collaborated with the Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore for major initiatives. Key Contributions:

 Won significant business valued in excess of $1 million, by bringing on an Indian brand from a manufacturer originally reluctant to partner with the company. Consulted extensively with the product developer, and emphasized the financial benefits of the proposed agreement. That brand ultimately became the third largest in the country.

 Recommended a series of new products and product enhancements, chief among them being a low cost hair product. Managed all essential phases of fragrance development and launch, and positioned the product to deliver consistently good revenue performance.

KUMARAN SYSTEMS PRIVATE, LTD., Chennai, India 2000 to 2001
