APEX Systems – Consultant

Participation in the support of a $40MM program at California State AAA. My role is as Project Manager of the monitoring and tools segment of the program.

DHL US Express - Sr. Program Manager – PCI Compliance

Commissioned with ensuring that DHL US Express becomes and maintains PCI Compliance based on security standards developed by Visa/MasterCard/Amex. Remediation required complex efforts in system changes, archival compliance, network/server security and process re-engineering. Focused scope on multi-location resources (including offshore), five operational venues and eight vendor participants. Initial compliance supported a multi-year schedule with a budget of $2.5MM. Communicated frequent status reviews directly with the CFO and CIO. U.S. Program is being considered as the template for a Global Program to service all 220+ country solutions.

DHL Worldwide Express - Global Program Manager

Managed a portfolio of financial applications, ensuring alignment of priorities with other cross-functional teams. Global responsibility for the implementation of a credit card service leading to a solution for 220+ countries available as a payment method for any DHL service. Designed and assessed Requests for Information, leading to vendor selection of the software/gateway. Managed and interfaced with resources on all continents, including DHL employees, consultants and offshore programmers. Highly skilled in vendor selection, contract negotiation and management.

Fedex Freight System (subsidiary of Federal Express) - Manager, Projects

Managed large-scale projects, full life cycle, incorporating client server, and mainframe technologies. Project Oversight of $5MM multiple ERP projects (financials, human resources, purchasing and payroll), utilizing as many as 8 BearingPoint consultants and various functional/technical teams spread over 3 locations. Ultimately responsible for project successes, on time and within budget, to Stakeholders, Senior Management and two Project Management Offices.

Cygnet Financial Services, Inc. (subsidiary of Drivetime Corp.) - Project Manager

Managed the implementation and outsourcing of a new loan system platform. Successfully converted multiple loan portfolios. Managed 14 employees matrixed from the operational group. Gathered all business requirements, developed all training and support criteria for a total of 3 Call Centers, totaling 275+ employees. Managed a third party vendor to a successful conclusion, saving the company in excess of $1.8MM /year.

National Insurance Premium Finance Co. - Project Manager

Responsible for workflow analysis, productivity improvement, systems enhancements and procedures for the Operations and Call Center staff. Reported directly to the Sr. Vice President, Operations. Developed systems to improve work performance, quality and timeliness. Worked closely with systems staff.

SELF-EMPLOYMENT

CID Management Inc.

Developed and designed a mutual fund. Obtained financial backing through AmeriPrime Funds. Analyzed servicing requirements and negotiated operational and auditing criteria with a New York based firm. Drafted Prospectus and prepared Investment Advisor filing with the SEC.

SSI Clearinghouse

Designed and marketed a database of Foreign Exchange and Money Market Standard Settlement Instructions to the Banking community.

Productivity Management in Banking

Developed a consulting practice offering small to mid-sized banks the ability to measure the performance of their branch banking arm as well as be able to properly utilize their staff resources.

Bank of Montreal

Financial Systems Manager

Directed the management and operation of all mainframe and personal computer systems. Coordinated all change management projects and system implementations relating to the Controllers Department in the United States. Responsible for the monthly financial close of the $6BB entity of the holding company.

Reported directly to the Comptroller of the Financial Services Division. Responsibilities covered the entire span of Industrial Engineering disciplines, supporting Remittance Banking, ARP and Credit Card payment processing. Supervised one Statistical Analyst.
