Shipping/ Receiving
Hear I basically did everything that pertains to a warehouse atmosphere on 1st shift.. I loaded and unloaded trucks. I put received goods away. I wrote up trucks to be loaded. I handled UPS shipments. I was capable of any duties that would occur on any given day and I executed these tasks thouroughly and efficiently.
2002/2006 National Electrical Carbon Greenville,SC
Warhehouse/Saw Operator/Machinist
I started out at this company running production on the Traction line. I ran automated machinery and some manual machinery in the manufacturing of this business of manufacturing carbon brushes.
Once I was hired on permanent I moved from and began there on a job within their warehouse where I was a materials handler. I used all tools necessary in performing this job. This is where I gained skills in both shipping and receiving, and the ability to operate forklifts.
After about a year I moved to a job sawing the raw carbon stock.. I primarily ran an automated saw and a bandsaw simoultaneously, although my job was not limited to these specific tasks. I was often called over to adjoining department treating the raw carbon with chemicals or on other varied tasks. This is where I received OJT with the conventional mills and grinders. This is also where I obtained skills in lean/6s.
The last position I held before leaving this company was the A-Line at the end of the Traction line where I ran and set up an automated line that sawed, drilled, scored, champhered, beveled, and tamped all in one continuously moving line.. This is where my mechanical inclinations and ability to troubleshoot problems really came in handy.
