Accomplishments
Designed and built CooperVision’s original labeling and packaging software in 2001 which was chosen as a global standard for CooperVision and went on to become the company’s global packaging system software now used at all manufacturing sites in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the UK. Designed and built a new Planning System Program with a 3-tier design using C#.NET for the GUI, WCF Services for the business layer, and SQL Server for the back-end. The planning system became very popular and was selected for use at other CooperVision manufacturing sites.
Work History
Senior Software Engineer 12/2008 – Present
Global Strategies Group, Mission Systems, Virginia Beach, VA
• Provided C#.NET programming services on the Vega software development team. Vega is a navigational command and control system for U.S. Coast Guard ships.
• Designed and coded the Vega Communications Framework, using Microsoft's WCF technology, which provides both TCP peer-to-peer and UDP Broadcast communication services between Vega client computers running on the same local network (LAN)
• Designed and coded a Data Cache module for Vega consisting of a primary and backup database for Vega utilizing SQL Server 2008 and the ADO.NET Entity Framework
• Provided extensive testing of Vega modules using Visual Studio Team System by creating MSTest projects to perform automated unit testing.
