Position – Surgical Technician

At my recent place of employment I was responsible for scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon by anticipating their needs during the case, setting up the room and making sure we have what we need before the case begins, I do all I can to ensure the patients safety while they are in the operating and special procedures rooms, and help other members of the team if they should need it. Some of the specialty cases I was involved with were Optometry (cataract cases mainly), Orthopedic, ENT, and Endoscopies.

While working at Robinson Memorial Hospital I also answered phones, checked patients in/out, helped organize and file paper work, and call for follow ups with patients.
