Corporate Sales Administrator – Responsible for sourcing large fastener quote packages for major automotive and commercial accounts. Duties included analysis of customer bid requirements through review of blueprints and part specifications, selection of the most appropriate manufacturers to bid, price analysis and negotiations, manufacturing capability and performance analysis, freight cost analysis, negotiating strategic alliances, and assistance to our corporate sales team in bid proposals to customers. Responsible for supplier selection based upon quality requirements of bid request, TS-16949 or ISO 9001:2000 certification, Level 3 PPAP, pre-production samples, approved supplier status, sourcing strategy, production, tooling, packaging, service and delivery requirements. Instrumental in writing ISO 9001:2000 quality procedures for sourcing and purchasing and worked closely with our Director of Quality on corrective actions and root cause analysis. Chair quote review APQP meetings with representatives from sales, sourcing, quality, and operations departments to review any exceptions to customer requirements. My specialty commodity groups included cold formed specials, stampings, machined components, weld fasteners, four-slide components, castings – aluminum and zinc die casts, bearings, gears, washers, gaskets and electrical components. Also responsible for setting-up all of the part numbers in our inventory control system. Instrumental in our sales topping $550 million annually.
Purchasing Agent – Responsible for corporate purchasing for key automotive and commercial accounts in excess of $20 million annually. Purchased fasteners for automotive interior programs using both domestic and overseas sources that were ISO 9001:2000 or TS-16949 certified and where automotive Level 3 PPAP was required. Adept at reading blueprints, purchasing to best practices and Six Sigma concepts.
Customer Service Representative – Positioned in sales and customer service handling several key accounts in HVAC, lighting, furniture, consumer goods, as well as various construction and MRO accounts. Insured all orders were processed timely and accurately by supervising warehouse personnel and an administrative assistant.

Promoted to Purchasing Agent in 1990 handling the procurement of standard and maintenance fasteners internationally, as well as out-of-house contracted services such as special plating, patching, drilling, machining, kitting and packaging.

Administrative Specialist – While at Columbus AFB, MS performed administrative duties for the Paying and Collections Officer, a Captain, and then promoted to assist the Base Comptroller, a Lieutenant Colonel. Awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal while at Suwon AFB, Korea for initializing the operational status of the Central Base Administration Division in record time. Honorably Discharged in November 1982 at the rank of Sergeant, E-4.
