PROJECTS
Ankle Foot Orthosis November 2010-December 2010
• Designed two market available products namely carbon fiber AFO and single strut AFO which involved advanced surface modeling techniques in Solidworks
• Performed Optimization analysis and designed a new product to improve the features of the product
• Performed CAE analysis by applying gradual load on the products to study the stresses developed, then performed impact testing to see if the product can sustain impact loads which is highly necessary
• Compared optimized product to market available products to see which has the best performance
FEA analysis of Chassis October 2010
• Designed and performed finite element analysis of chassis of a truck with different combinations of shock absorbers such as leaf spring, helix spring and a combination of both springs
• Looked at the stresses and deformation in the frame and compared all three types of shock absorbers
Multiphysics Simulation of Bush bar using Comsol September 2010
• A bush bar with titanium bolt was conducted with electric current to see the stresses, strain and temperature variation in the body
• Noticed effect of cooling by passing an air stream to see the change in temperature
• Performed convergence analysis by changing the mesh size
Solidworks Assembly and FEA September 2010
• Created all the parts, assembly and 2D drawing of a Pulley using Solidworks
• Estimated its cost, minimum and maximum tolerance of the alignment of L-Bracket
• Performed finite element analysis with load applied on pulley to see the stresses, deformation
Glider and Hovercraft December 2007-March 2008
• Designed an airfoil to build a wing that has huge wetted area with maximum wing loading that could be used to stabilize the glider
• Designed a glider and hovercraft and performed CAE analysis to check the structural and aerodynamic performance of the models
• Fabricated radio controlled glider and hovercraft made of balsa wood
• Used servomotors to control the model
