SKILLS: I have over 25 years of combined experience as a mechanic in automotive as well as light and heavy equipment. I am able to trouble shoot, diagnose, repair and maintain various types of equipment. I am also capable of data logging, parts ordering, and log books. Title: Senior Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Duties include, but are not limited to: Travel, parts accusation, maintenance, trouble shooting, repair and modification of mechanical system, power transmission systems, complex hydraulic systems, electrical systems, pneumatic systems and onboard computer systems found in hydraulic excavators, bull dozers, front end loaders, dump trucks, rough terrain forklifts, rough terrain cranes, skid steers, pneumatic rock drills, vehicles and small construction support equipment in remote locations all over the state of Alaska.

I use mechanical and electronic measuring, testing and diagnostic equipment to perform failure analysis, fault finding and precision measurement to determine extent of wear, assembly clearances, pressure setting in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, troubleshooting and repair of starting systems, charging systems, ignition systems, hydraulic systems and machine wiring systems. I have used specialized tools to meet manufacturer specification for modifying, rebuilding and repairing diesel engines, gas engines, transmissions, torque converters, reduction gears, drive lines, power take-offs, differentials, final drives, hydraulic reversers, transmissions, gear reductions, differential gears, hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders and valves. This includes all aspects of teardown and assembly such as checking component wear, creating parts and material lists, and obtaining parts and technical manuals as required.

Team work with others such as village hires, contractors and engineers. Also trained and advised entry and junior level mechanics on simple as well as complex systems and procedures and safety awareness. One of these people I recommended to the company, his advancement from entry level up to senior level, over the course of 4 years.
