As Software Quality Assurance Engineer for a leading manufacturer of power transformer monitoring devices, performed QA on standalone and internet applications. Performed all the software testing and quality assurance on both a client-server web application and Windows applications for a team of 2-5 programmers in a C# .NET SQL Server environment. Wrote test plans, test cases, user scenarios, and performed functional, user interface, regression, system, compatibility and configuration testing. Configured and installed builds on staging servers. Set up and administered SQL Server based defect tracker (BugTracker .NET) and source control system (Subversion). Tested applications with all current Microsoft operating systems using VMware virtual machines.

Rational Software, Inc, 2000 - 2001

As a Staff Software Quality Engineer for a leader in Object Oriented software development tools, led a team of 3 testers, wrote test specifications for Rational Rose for the Engineering Services and QE/Product Execution Teams, wrote and executed test cases traced to requirements for integration testing of Rational Rose, concentrating on end-to-end user scenarios, forward and reverse engineering to Java, Visual C++, and C#, as well as product compatibility testing and requirements testing.

Velleb, Inc. (Spun off from ConnectSoft), 1995 - 1997

As the Quality Assurance Lead for the developer of UPS OnLine Pro, United Parcel Service’s flagship Windows shipping and tracking product for high volume customers, was responsible for leading the company's efforts to improve software quality, for establishing the direction of the QA Department, for providing educational and technical materials for QA staff, and for providing QA staffing for all projects. Involved in evaluation and procurement of hardware and software, and in configuration of the test lab. Built up a QA organization from two to eight permanent members. Introduced automated testing using MS-Test. Led the QA team through three complete product release cycles. As a result, there were over 10,000 users of UPS OnLine Pro in its first year after release.

ConnectSoft, Inc. 1994 - 1995

As a Quality Assurance Lead led QA teams through retail product releases of E-Mail Connection, as well as for a contract Windows application providing remote hospital patient monitoring. Performed product builds, maintained company C++ coding standards, moderated code reviews, wrote and reviewed test plans and test cases, maintained defect database, used extensively Windows Debug Kernel and debug builds.
