Developed an online Learning Community to facilitate the communication and collaboration of students, faculty, potential employers and employees that included internal departments marketing, student services, course design and development. The project involved creating a web service called the Pest Risk Analysis System (PRAS) accessed through a web interface which allow Users to choose a geographical location (example a parish or a district in a parish) then enter climatic information about the are i.e. temperature recorded in the last 3 weeks and they were able to fully predict (down to the level of the farm) areas that would be affected by a pest outbreak. The Crop was banana and the pest Black Sikatoka.
