Summary

My interest in art and design started over seventeen years ago at Miami Northwestern Senior High’s PAVAC Art Program. Since then my knowledge has flourished into Architecture and Civil Engineering. I was introduced to AutoCAD 14, over fifteen years ago and within the past six years my skills have increased my ability to operate AutoCAD 2000-2008, Architectural Desktop, Land Development, SketchUP 6, Adobe Photoshop CS & Illustrator CS. As a freehand artist it has enhanced my ability to be involved in various projects dealing with the City of Miami, wall murals and paintings using mixed media design. I have continually used my skills as working worked as a Freelance Designer for the past two years with various graphic design and/or CAD projects.

CAD & Graphic Designer

• A freelance designer for businesses & individuals with graphic design needs such as, logo identity, t-shirt & banner designs using Adobe Photoshop CS & Illustrator CS. Created CAD mechanical drawings for packages towards a variety of U.S. patents using AutoCAD 2008. Also created 3D remodeling floor plans for companies using SketchUP.

Landscape Technician/Civil CAD Technician

• Initial employment was as a Civil Draftsperson creating layout of utilities, profiles (sanitary), floor plan designs (multi-family), etc. Other responsibilities included creating drawings for development and detailing, site grading, drainage design, site plans and also assisting or creating the drawing from the conceptualization stage to the final release by using AutoCAD 2004 and Land Development.

• After a promotion to their sister company (The Land Art Company) as a Landscape Technician the scope of the work slightly changed. Continuing responsibilities included hand graphics artistic rendering, landscape and presentation graphics using Adobe Photoshop. Also producing, landscape design plans, irrigation design, rending, photo simulation, 3-D visualization, wetlands functional assessment and mitigation design. Giving presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint to clients and county personnel.

Engineering Technician

• Used Land Development through AutoCAD 2004 producing topographic, pile as-built and canal dredging drawings. Created site plans and topographic drawings for residential and commercial constructions. Created schedules for most projects involved.

• Surveying and generating plans for high-rises, public schools, condominiums, homes, roadways, canals, and strip malls were all examples of different types of projects/construction that had to be completed through this position. Frequent assignments of assisting the survey crew by being the Rod Man and providing any other help that was needed at any given time.
